Update Issue with Featured Posts

  • Thanks in advance for any help with this.

    Post April 22, 2015 update, the featured posts in the upper slots of this site are now showing excerpts and tags, when before they were only showing thumbs, title and date (as pictured in the normal twenty fourteen default).

    This is a child theme but with only very light customization. When I preview the default I still see the excerpts. Any insights on what might have happened?

  • I replaced the content-featured-post.php in 1.4 with the version from 1.3 and that fixed the problem. So likely the issue is with that file.

    I have also trouble with sticky and featured post after updating. I’m not able to show only images, it shows all the text also. Will this be fixed again?

    I have the same issue with this update. Featured posts show the full article instead of only the picture. Tried to reinstall the theme. No change. Tried also to change the “featured” keyword to another one. No change. Tried also to create a new post with featured keyword. Show also the full article.

    I did reinstall the them from the download link on the theme homepage instead of installing from the theme admin page in my site. I replaced the files using FTP. It solved the problem.

    I think the update messed with styles..

    I have 2 websites, both Twenty Fourteen same plugins, customizations and versions.

    One is the English version, updated yesterday with no problem. All pugins also updated just fine.

    The other one is Portuguese-BR. I’m so glad I had a backup.
    Trying to update the Theme a error said the update broke because there was no style.css.
    After deleting the Theme and reinstalling, I use child-theme reinstalled the main one, all my sidebars, footer and custom widgets gone. And once again I’m glad I had a backup.

    Had the same issue, just downloaded a fresh copy and upped it with FTP, all is fine now.

    The update worked for med now. ??
