When I log into my blog, I see that Mailchip for WordPress has been updated to version. 3.0. I click upgrade and everything looks okay- except for this: When I go back to my plugin list, I see that mailchimp for wordpress has been deactivated. At the top of the page, I see this error: ibericode-mailchip-forwordpress-00b3d9b/mailchimp-for-wp.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.

I have contacted my host and they do not see any issues on my end. Perhaps there is an issue with this update?

I also see on the information page for this plugin that 3.0 is NOT the latest version… what is going on??

    Hello mintandbirch,

3.0 is currently under development and if you are able to see that version number than there are high chances that in some of the plugins you installed you might have “GitHub Updater” which is pulling our plugin code from GitHub.com instead of www.ads-software.com.

May I request you to manually delete the plugin folder and install the files from www.ads-software.com – https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/mailchimp-for-wp.2.3.4.zip.

Our current stable version is 2.3.4.

Do let me know if you run into any issues.

I see that there is 2.3.5 available now, can I just install that instead? ??

    Hey mintandbirch,

Yes please use the version 2.3.5. It will ensure in future you don’t see updates from our development copy.
