I have tried multiple times to update to the new Download Manager but it consistently crashes my site. Now I can’t even get it to work and I have people who need to access my downloads.

Last time I just reverted back to the old version but this time that’s not even working. This is what I get when I upgrade to the new version.

    NextGEN Gallery Plugin Not found

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home2/mecanx/public_html/8oh8/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-resize/nextgen-resize.php:42) in /home2/mecanx/public_html/8oh8/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1171

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home2/mecanx/public_html/8oh8/wp-content/plugins/download-manager-1/download-manager.php on line 12

The Parse error was the original problem but now it’s added the “Cannot Modify Header Information” error.

    Please fix this issue…

Latest Download Manager requires PHP version > 5.3

Please ask your server support to update your php version.

After that delete current installation of Download Manager and install a fresh copy. Looks like your changed the directory name, which might produce unexpected result.

btw, you can use the old version if you can’t update php version. Here is the download link https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/download-manager.2.8.3.zip

Yeah, I changed the name of the file so that it would let my site come back up. I’ll check with host gator to see if they’ll update the PHP Version for me.

So I had them update my site to PHP 5.3 and this is what I get now. Still crashes my site.

Not sure why it keeps telling my NextGEN plugin not found as I do have it installed.

Not sure what to do now…

Please try disabling NextGen Gallery plugin. Maybe there is a conflict.

So I disabled everything in NextGen and it works now…so there’s a conflict with that plugin. Only thing now is that I don’t have a photo gallery for my site in order for my downloads to work.

    So yeah…that’s the problem…

I know a lot of people use NextGen Plugins…so you might want to see why it’s conflicting with it…just a suggestion.

The issue tells that, unexpected output is generated by nextgen-resize plugin, so need to fix it from that plugin. May you please notify nextgen-resize plugin author.
