Update not working on Firefox

  • Just updated to 1.72 and now theme is ‘hanging’ in Firefox browser. Okay in Chrome.

    I have other sites using Sydney theme which I haven’t updated yet and there’s no problem with those. Any suggestions?

  • Mikepalmer: thanks, that worked. Bummer though because I didn’t really want to clear cache as I had a bunch of tabs open and signed in to various things. Ah well, small price to pay. Thanks again for the nudge.

    I did not need to reinstall. I solved by cleaning the WP Fastest Cache cache.
    I guess cleaning the cache should solve the issue with any other caching system / plugin.

    The browser was stuck trying to load JS files which were present in the 1.71 version but have been removed in the 1.72 (such as js/main.js, for example).

    The theme developer should warn about this possible issue in the release notes.

    1.7.2 broke my site as well. Using the css to fix the bouncing balls helps that part. BUT Firefox also does not load the page properly AND mobile menu is broken (iOS at least). It loads expanded and can’t close it. Hamburger does nothing. Not a caching issue. Had to roll back to 1.7.1

    Chrome also does not load the page properly – the header video is small in the upper corner (like Firefox). Reverting to 1.7.1 fixes all problems. When will there be another update to fix these issues?
