Update notice doesn't go away

    Hi there, a happy user of your plugin, but on one of the sites update notice “New! The iThemes Security dashboard just got a new look.” doesn’t go away. Whenever I close it, it’s back again when page reloads. This seems to be not related with current version, as I had updated couple of times since UI update and this notice still remains. Please advise. Thank you!

    What browser and what version of that browser are you using ?
    What is your client platform ?(Win 7, 10 etc).
    Did you try from different browsers ?
    Are there any errors in the web server error_log ?
    Are there any errors in the browser javascript console ?

    Several people have reported this issue lately.
    There is ab-so-lu-te-ly no movement whatsoever in any of the other topics.

    This is typically an issue that probably needs to be looked at/debugged while being logged into the WordPress Dashboard.

    A TeamViewer session could do the trick.

    Thanks @dwinden, after looking into this further I suspect this to be a permissions issue. I have tons of other sites without this problem. Will try changing permission here and there and see if it resolves the issue.

    The solution is actually in this topic.

    Indeed a permission issue on the wp-content/uploads/ithemes-security/logs folder. The folder must exist and it must be writable.

    thanks @dwinden! Changing permission resolved the issue.

    I have the same thing appeared exactly when I began to use proxy server (advanced.name if it matters). It generally somehow can be connected?
