We use BackWPup on almost 150 client sites. The update today invalidated the S3 secret key on ALL the sites.

I recognize that you can’t fix this for me – I’ll have to go through and manually fix all of them this time – but PLEASE PLEASE fix this before the next update!

Thanks a lot for your help. Our developer is working on the fix. It would be great to have some tester before releasing. If you want to test please contact us via the contact form on backwpup.com and use as subject “Betatest”. You can write in English or German. We will provide you with the bugfix as soon as we have one.

    Thank you very much.

Thanks for reaching out, Christina! I volunteered!

Any word on when the fix for this issue might be released? Since we upload the backups to Amazon S3, we’re holding off on updating until the issue with disappearing credentials is fixed. Thanks!

    Hi,

please wait until tomorrow ?? The release is ready for rolling out.

    Cheers

    Hi Christina!

I have a couple of sites that I can further beta test the rollout if desired. I was able to test the one file change last week. The dev folks have my email.

    Hi Bet,

Thank you very much for your test, this helped a lot. In future you can do a lot of tests if you want. Just subscribe to our new BackWPup Beta Tester Newsletter which you can find here: https://backwpup.com/become-backwpup-beta-tester/. And we will inform you, when we have a beta version available.

    Cheers

I have updated a site from to BackWPup version 3.3.4 to 3.3.7 (released today), and can report that S3 secret key did NOT drop with the update! Thanks for the fix!
