Update of plugin fails

  • Hi
    Today I encountered a problem with updating a plugin
    The error is:
    undefined function called “set time” wp-admin/includes/class-wp-upgrader.php on line 471
    After disabling this line the update was successful
    I am running on PHP 8.03
    WP version 5.7
    Any thoughts ?

    should be set_time_limit()

    Looks like your WP installation is damaged somehow.
    On local server – check filesystem integrity.
    Reinstall WP core files using Dashboard: Update , reinstall current version button.

    Hi Yui,

    Thanks for the tip, the site is running normal and could be updatet before.
    But I will try your solution.
