    Hi,

I get the message all the time:

    *** in german ***

Bitte habe etwas Geduld. Fortgeschrittene Benutzer k?nnen alternativ über WP CLI aktualisieren.

    Translated:
    WooCommerce database update required
WooCommerce has been updated! For everything to run smoothly, we need to update your database to the latest version. Updating the database runs in the background and may take some time. Please be patient. Advanced users can alternatively update via WP CLI.

    ***

    But the database is up-to-date.

    WooCommerce version: 4.0.1
    WooCommerce database version: 4.0.1

    ***

I’ve already done the update again and it was even done via WP CLI. Then I got the message that the current version is available.

How do I get rid of this annoying message on the site?
I only get this message on all pages of Woocommerce.

    Thank you very much.
    It’s probably a bug, I heard.

    Greetings

Are you sure no one here can help?

Hi @jensbecher! Would you mind running through one more test? Please follow these steps:

    1. Log into your WordPress admin area;
    2. Navigate to WooCommerce > Status > Tools;
    3. Click on the “Run Scheduled Actions” to work through the remain scheduled actions.

If all goes according to plan, any remaining database update actions should run and the notice should disappear. If, however, you’re still getting stuck, please let us know so that we can investigate further.

    Hey drwpcom,

Thank you for your message. Unfortunately, this point is under mine:
    WooCommerce / Status / Tools.

I only have the following points:

    *** in german ***

    WooCommerce-Transienten
    Abgelaufene Transients
    Verwaiste Variationen
    Verbrauchte Download-Berechtigungen
    Produkt Nachschlagetabelle
    Terms-Z?hler
    Benutzer-Berechtigungen
    Kundensitzungen l?schen
    Standard-WooCommerce-Seiten erstellen
    WooCommerce-Steuers?tze l?schen
    Shop Vorschaubilder regenerieren
    Datenbank aktualisieren

    *** in english ***

    WooCommerce transients
    Expired Transients
    Orphaned Variations
    Used download authorizations
    Product lookup table
    Terms counter
    User authorizations
    Delete customer sessions
    Create standard WooCommerce pages
    Delete WooCommerce tax rates
    Shop Regenerate thumbnails
    Update database

I have tried to update the database, and here comes the message:
“Database update has been scheduled as a background process.”

    Greetings

Hi Andreas (@jensbecher). Is the issue persisting or did triggering the database update again help?

If the issue persists, do you notice any Pending tasks under WooCommerce > Status > Scheduled Actions related to Action Scheduler? If so, click on Pending and the “Run” link appears on each line on mouse over. This way, you should be able to run those tasks manually.

Please let me know if that helps.

    (@jensbecher)

    Hey,
Thank you for your answer. There are no “pending actions” all are “Complete”. In the Complete list there are 1229 actions, in the log it says “Action created” everywhere, then “WP Cron started” and then “completed”…

    The error message still exists.
With someone said that this update was probably done, only one bug exists. The message is wrong.

We tried to do this via WP CLI, and I get the message that it is the latest version.

This is also shown to me in the system status:

    WooCommerce version: 4.0.1
    WooCommerce database version: 4.0.1

What can I do? The error message slows down the system so much.
    Greetings

Hey, you got any more ideas?
Is there any other way to get the message out?

Hi Andreas. I do have a suggestion.

Since it looks like the database is updated but the message is stuck, it is possible to remove the stuck message by changing an option in the database. For this, please follow the below steps:

    1. Take a backup of your site (important)
    2. Install WP phpMyAdmin on your site.
    3. From WP Admin > Settings > WP PhpMyAdmin, select Enter PhpMyAdmin button as shown in the screenshot: https://d.pr/i/MrsG9g
    4. On the left panel, locate wc_admin_notes and click on it, as seen in the screenshot: https://d.pr/i/RoS64x
    5. Then locate wc-update-db-reminder and click edit as seen in the screenshot: https://d.pr/i/FaF4Y1
    6. Scroll down and set the status to actioned and save the changes as shown below: https://d.pr/i/Bh1nBl
    7. With that, the update notice would get unstuck. I hope that helps. Please let us know how you get on.
