• I have WordPress-users (author) with a basic membership role. In the UM-settings for this user role, the user should go to the requested page after login with the default login form. This does not work: the user stays on the page where the default form is, and shows membership information (image, name and option to log out).
When I change settings and redirect to user profile or redirect to a specific page, that works all right.

I have a login-page that is excluded in UM-settings for accessibility. The page that is set for redirecting users that are not logged in, is ‘besloten-deel’. When I try to access a specific URL, I’m redirected to ‘besloten-deel’, not the default login-page.

I tried linking to the loginpage, and I tried adding the form on the ‘besloten-deel’ page, but no way the user is redirected to the requested page.
I have tried about everything to get it working, emptying cache, use several browsers, but nothing seems to work.

I need this option both for links in email that should lead to a specific page and for items in the newsletter I send with MailPoet.

In addition to above: “allow homepage to be accessible” is set to ‘no’, but there is no new option where I can enter a url which is where this role will be redirected to if they try to access the homepage.
There is, however, a persistant script error, I have no idea if this might be the cause:

    redux-field-select-js
    https://www.mysite.nl/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-member/admin/core/lib/ReduxFramework/ReduxCore/inc/fields/select/field_select.min.js

And by the way: it worked before, I don’t know when it stopped working.

    Hi @marionfw,

Do you have the latest 1.3.88 version of the Ultimate member installed?
This issue may be because of a plugin/theme conflict. Can you please do a quick conflict test and see if the issue goes away? This doc explains how to do a conflict test if you are not sure: How to do a plugin/theme conflict test?

    Hi,

I have the latest version, and did the conflict test: deactivated all other plugins and changing theme did not resolve the problem.

I did some further testing. For some pages I was redirected to the login page and after that to the requested page url, for other pages I landed on the page where non-allowed users are redirected.

After that, I compared the page settings. My conclusion:
    * on pages were the custom accessibility is set on standard (i.e. not accessible, as it is a site for members only, with only some pages excluded), the redirect to a specific url does not work
    * on pages were the custom accessibility is set on access only for logged in users, the redirect to a specific url does work all right (so redirect to login page and then to the requested url).
This is strange, as both settings should have the same effect as the standard setting: access only for logged in users.

I hope this may help to find the cause and solution to the problem, as I’m still encountering problems with posts, categories etc.
