Update plugin

Hello!
Im having trouble with book a place pro 1.40.
It doesnt always send email to admin or the customer, and even thou i have set that paypal is the only way they are allowed to book and pay, somehow some customers can book without paying.
Also it registers a booking in the order page, but it will not always book the places and because of that 2 people have been able to book the same seats without paying.
I understand that i need to update, but how do i do that without erasing the plugin and inserting the new one?
The booking is up and running with orders and i have spent alot of time setting it up so if there is a way of updating it without loosing all the schemes and settings i would be a happy camper!
Also is there a way to be able to select multiple seats and give them price and colour so that each individual seat is bookable with those settings?
Now i am only able to select several seats and you can then pay 1 price for all those seats.It is very time consuming when u have hundreds of singel seats that you want to have the same price and color, to have to go in to each and everyone and set them up.
