update plugins

  • Hi, I try upgrade plugins on my blog and both plugins show errors:

    An error occurred while updating Akismet: N?o foi possível criar o diretório. /public_html/wp-content/plugins/akismet/

    An error occurred while updating Jetpack por WordPress.com: N?o foi possível criar o diretório. /public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/

    I set chmod 777 on plugins, akismet and jetpack folder and still it did not work, what could be happening?
