Update Problems, Serious Problems

  • I was told on this thread — https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/jetpack-34-breaks-site?replies=27 — to open another one, so here it is.

    When I updated this afternoon, the site statistics amongst other tweaks stopped working. And when I tried to deactivate/re-activate, it wasn’t connected any longer.

    Then, I tried to reconnect to WordPress.com, and it gave me the following error:

    Invalid request, please go back and try again.
    Error Code: invalid_client
    Error Message: Unknown client_id.

    Hours later…

    I tried to reactivate the plugin and again connect to WordPress.com, and got the following error from CloudFlare, which I have used the entire time, so it cannot be the issue:

    Error 520 Ray ID: 1c9442ef92ac0a00
    Web server is returning an unknown error

    Now…

    My stats are nothing but a spinning wheel, my widgets don’t work — i.e. recent posts, which I call “Trending on PPD” — that you can look at here: https://www.peoplespunditdaily.com/
