• I changed the member pages in Settings (such as membership registration, etc.). Now the member profile update page doesn’t work and I’m wondering what I should change it to. This is what I currently have (not putting actual main URL for privacy):

    Login Page: siteURL.com/membership/member-login/
    Registration Page: siteURL.com/membership/member-registration
    Join Us Page: siteURL.com/membership
    Password Reset Page: siteURL.com/membership/member-login/password-reset/

Or do I have to create it myself? I did try making a page and added that URL to the settings but that didn’t work.

    TIA!

Hi, if you have changed the membership pages in the settings did you also add the correct shortcode?

Please read the following documentation to learn more.

    Thank you

    Sorry for the late reply.

I guess I was thinking that there would be a page automatically generated showing the current member’s information so they can go in and edit it. Is that possible?

Hi, if you look at the link I provided above you will see that there is a profile page automatically created for each member. Have you tested this yourself?

Ok, completely my fault. I set this all up in a strange way so I don’t think this will work in the way I want it to. I had forgotten how it was set up. I apologize. I set it up months ago and a current member wants to change their info. But it won’t be possible with the current configuration.

Basically I used this plugin to allow paying members to login to the site, so that they can view private information. Once logged in, they can add their info to the club roster, which is viewable by all paying members. That info is added via Contact Form 7, which automatically loads onto a page using a code from Contact Form 7 Database.

So I guess I have a new question. Is there a way for a member’s registration information to appear in a roster for all members to view? Other than their login and password, of course.

I’m so sorry to have wasted your time, but thank you so much for responding to my questions! I feel so silly for forgetting how I had set it up in the first place.

Hi, in regards to your comment.

Is there a way for a member’s registration information to appear in a roster for all members to view?

What kind of information are you referring to? Can you give me an example?

    Thank you

Currently in our roster are names, addresses, phone numbers, names of spouses and children with their birth dates, what village they live in, and maybe a few other things I’m not remembering right now. All of this info goes into the database so it appears as a spreadsheet on the Roster page. Only members signed in with Simple Membership can view it.

It was easiest to have them fill out all this info with Contact Form 7, and using the Contact Form 7 database plugin to automatically populate the roster on a specified page.

It would be nice to have the Simple Membership plugin do all of that when members register, but I never saw a way to do that so I created the current method. But members can’t edit their info with the current method, which is an annoyance. They just have to fill out a new contact form and ask me to delete their old info.

    I hope that makes sense…

At present there is no integration between Contact Form 7 and Simple Membership plugin.

In regards to your suggestion, at present one possible way to achieve part of your suggestion is with Form Builder add-on which allows you to add custom fields. This would also allow your members to edit their profile. However you would have to find a different method do display the data as per the following comment.

All of this info goes into the database so it appears as a spreadsheet on the Roster page.

I am not sure if the above might help you or not.

Thank you so much for being so responsive in this confusing thread!! ??

I’m wondering if there’s a way to gather the data from Simple Membership, export to a Google Sheet, which then exports to a page within WordPress.

Just thinking aloud. I’ll have to do some digging.

Thank you again for all your help and suggestions!
