Update removes photos from displaying

Hi,

I want to make sure you have some options available while we sort this out. If a current issue is causing you issues, you can always remove the plugin and download the version that you found that worked from here: https://github.com/presscustomizr/nimble-builder/releases

However, what you might look to do, is to make sure that everything, including this plugin is fully updated. Usually when photos disappear it is the result of a conflict with a plugin. Once everything is updated, you can deactivate all plugins and see if photos work. Then, add one back in at a time until you notice the conflict. From there, we might be able to assist.

Also, when your photos disappear, can you tell me specifically what you mean? Are they gone from your website, or just the editing UI? Do they just disappear from the editing interface or are they gone from the media library also?

The more information I have, both about your problem and your current themes/plugins, the more I can try to recreate the problem to attempt to solve it.

we had 2.2.2 for a long time and it worked fine. We tried updating to 3.2.8 and had issues, So we updated all our plugins/themes to try and fix the problem.
When reverting back to 2.2.2, nimble builder no longer enabled us to edit a page. We would go into the editor and try and add a module, but the page was static. Could not edit existing modules either.

So we updated all plugins again and did deactivate plugins one at a time to try and have our photos appear on the site again. With nimble builder deactivated, the images appeared, but since most of the pages were created using nimble builder, we lost most pages. We have since restored to outdated plugins, but am stuck with static pages.

With 3.2.8 the images appear in the back end during page editing within nimble builder, but not on the published site, there is just empty white space. This went for all pages.

Is there any chance you’re a pro user? If so, can you use the contact option provided? I would really like to dig into this with you, but you jumped about 14 months worth of updates and any number of issues could have crept in from outdated plugins.
Your issue is not something that I have been able to replicate and we aren’t hearing it from other people who updated. So, if you are able to contact us so that we can dig into your specific site, I think that would be best. Unfortunately, we aren’t allowed to do that on the WP forums.

@nikeo I have the same issue in all pages made with builder with images.
I’ve rebuilded the pages just to test and the problem is there. When refreshing page sometimes they appear but then dissapear again.

I’ve clear caches, checked compatibility with plugins. This has to do with nimble

Still testing trying to help you.
Created a test article with nimble. Added just two modules with 1 image per module. In the backend when login everything Ok but in frontend the same. One pic dissapears, f5 appears, etc…

While writing to you… an idea came up.
I’ve disabled lazy load images from hueman customizer and now seems Ok.
Now i have a clue. Hope you too..

Thank you! We had an issue with lazy load in an old version, so I wondered if that could be the case. We are trying to replicate it on our side. Thank you for the update!

@quesnela Please diasble the lazy load option in customizer. I’ve done it and the problem disappeared

That’s of course a temporary solution, but we are looking at a permanent solution as we speak. Thanks for helping us troubleshoot Nick.

@nickpapag We may also ask the WordPress translation team to fix the almost 3-year old translation error that is apparent on Hueman theme (Επ?μενη σελ?δα appears as Επ?μενη σελ?δα: while the double dot shouldn’t be there). It’s not a biggie, but still a translation error.

Not a pro user, so not sure how to share more info privately.

Tried adding this to theme editor to disable lazy load with most recent plugin version, didn’t work.

add_filter( ‘wp_lazy_loading_enabled’, ‘__return_false’ );

Perhaps there is a different way to address this? I’m not savvy, so please do share.
