    Hi,
I know I am not saying anything new here as I can see a lot of people have had the same issue.

I read most of the post and tried resaving permalinks and clearing cache and disabling my caching plugin but it’s not working.
I also tried resave the custom posts and permalinks but it’s not getting them back.

I don’t know if my case is more complicated or what as I am using Custom Post Permalinks as well.

Please, advise me on the best action to get my content back.

I also noticed one more thing,
when I went into custom taxonomies to save them they weren’t attached to any custom post types and I had to reassign that myself.

Until I can get details figured out for proper bug fixes, version 0.9.5 is essentially 0.8.5 with a higher number, and everything should fall back into place for how things were.

I appreciate the patience and understanding as I work through the reported issues.

Thank you for your quick response and action.

Will update and hope things get back to normal for me.

Would you be willing to test a currently patched version to see if it clears up the issues?

I can provide a zip file that you can install that will upload the hopefully fixed version alongside 0.9.5 so you can easily switch back if still not working yet.

Preferably on a dev copy of your site if possible.

Yes, I can give it a try on a local copy of my site as I don’t want to see my links broken again (:

Will be glad to give it a try.

    I appreciate it.

    Download and install the following:

    https://github.com/WebDevStudios/custom-post-type-ui/archive/master.zip

It should name the folder “custom-post-type-ui-master” or so, so the folders won’t clash, but you will probably want to disable the 0.9.5 version before activating this one, as I am sure I have some functions named the same in both, and we don’t need name clashes. After the master.zip copy is installed, you’ll want to flush the rewrite rules once more, and then test things out.

    Hi Michael,
Sorry for the delay, I had all sorts of issues trying to install a local copy of my website but I managed to get it done.

I removed the old plugin and installed the new one I downloaded from github.com and here are my comments:

    1. the Automatic WP installer didn’t work and I had to install it manually.

    2. Once activated all my custom posts and taxonomies were back to normal and everything seems OK to me now.

    3. Pretty permalinks isn’t working on my localhost but the links are working when I revert to the WP default permalinks, and I don’t think this is related to your plugin in any way.

    Hope that helps.

No worries on delay. I’m holding off from re-attempting the update till Monday at the earliest anyway. I don’t want to be on the forums answering new issues if there still are some (though everything is pointing to it being fixed).

    Thank you for the feedback.

    Hi,
I upgraded to 1.0 and things went very well.

However, after upgrading now to 1.0.1 things went wrong again and taxonomies now no longer show under custom post types. ):

I wish I hadn’t upgraded to this one.

What can I do now to get them back?

    Thanks.

You can always revert back to 0.9.5 again, but I’d love it if we continued debugging what’s going on and why it’s failing for you, so that I can get fixes out that benefit everyone with this process.

As an aside, if you are willing to try things once more with 1.0.1, deleting the cptui_post_types and cptui_taxonomies options in the database should trigger a re-convert from the original settings that are meant to be fixed now.

    Hi Michael,
I don’t mind to keep trying on my dev site, but I really need to get my live site fixed and not do any trials on that.

So, please, let me know how can I do this and I can go back to the dev site and see how this works.

    Thanks.

OK, so I’ve reverted back to 0.95 and all is back to normal now.

Will try deleting the values you mentioned from the database on my dev site, but can you please, tell me what’s the best way to do this?

    Thanks,

OK, so I tried to do that and deleted the values you mentioned from the options but that didn’t make any difference.
I deleted them before upgrading to 1.0.1 so does that make the difference or what?

    Thanks,
