Update to 1.9.3 inserting excerpt instead of whole page

    When I updated from v1.8 to v1.9.3 the plugin started inserting only an excerpt + read more link instead of the entire page contents. Reverting to v1.8 restored correct functionality.

    Incidentally, these pages are inserted into widgets in Page Builder by SiteOrigin, not a sidebar, in case that makes a difference…?

    Anyone else had this? Is there a new setting I’m missing somewhere? Thanks.

    (By the way, for those who can see it, the link to the page where I’m using it shows correct functionality, as I’ve had to revert to kep site displaying properly)

  • Maybe. I’m not sure what it was displaying, but certainly not displaying the page content.

    I found a work around that seems to work. Go into each Widget that uses this plugin, and force it to save. What I did was just toggle the “show title” button in the widget on and off so the Save button becomes active, then save the widget.

    That was a bit tedious, but worked like a charm ??

    BTW, for clarity, anyone else doing this, edit the widget, toggle the title and the click [Done], then edit it again and toggle it back, and click [Done]. (Then, if your widget is embedded in a page not a sidebar, Update the page.) As implied by ‘force it to save’ above, you need to come out and go back in – it’s not enough to toggle and toggle straight back.

    I guess that counts as ‘resolved’ tho if developers reading, a fix that would make this unnecessary would save others the headache ?? Thx.

    What worked for me was to switch the “Content” from “Content” to “Excerpt”, save, then put it back to “Content”. I suspect that’s where the bug is, too. ??
