    Hello,

Is there some major fault at the last update to 2.2.1? I updated and all the Livemesh widgets went away. Reverted back to 1.7.4. Please explain what is going on.

I deleted all files in the plugin folder and upload latest from the bottom of this page.

If the plugin gets deactivated, just reactivate it after updating to latest version and you should do fine. Looks like the plugin got deactivated since a file which was in existence earlier as the main plugin file was renamed. Sorry about this but we had to do this to follow certain standards and strangely this issue did not occur for one of the other popular plugins – so hopefully it does not happen with every installation.

I can say that this issue happened for me as well.

I got the following error on the plugins page after noticing the widgets weren’t loading properly: https://cloudup.com/cfz2YICp7Cd

Seems the main plugin file rename caused a hiccup resulting in the plugin being unavailable/deactivated due to caching of the old plugin file’s name…? Either way, this isn’t a single occurrence that might be worth accommodating/accounting for further.

We would not be changing this again in near future. We moved to a unified codebase for both premium as well as free plug-in to help manage updates seamlessly for both versions. Some changes are result of the same which also helped us roll out a few additional features for the free plugin which were part of premium for some time now. I don’t see this sort of change repeating in future. Hope this is a temporary annoyance which we will glide over. Thanks

Created a post providing more information on this issue and how to resolve the same – https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/important-note-issues-when-upgrading-to-2-2-1-version/.

This hasn’t resolved the issue for me.
I have 2.2.1 and it’s activated but still the widgets are not appearing.
I am not seeing any error message either.
This happens on several sites and they were all working before.

@optimystery That might be a separate issue worth its own support forum thread since it appears the cause experienced by this thread has been resolved.

I am a bit heartbroken. All see that all the Livemesh accordions and odometers are gone. They have probably been gone a long time. Hours of work. Could they still be in the database somewhere?

Can you pls verify that both SiteOrigin widgets bundle and Livemesh Siteorigin widgets are activated?

    (@argentum)

    Yes they are active now.

I had to roll back the site to a date in July before this 2.2.1 update.

I use a plugin called widgets on pages, and I have lsow accordions and odometers in them. The lsow widgets went away after the 2.2.1 update hassle.

I am going to try to update to lsow 2.3 now. Has the disabling error been fixed in 2.3?

I updated LSOW to 2.3 and the widgets went away.

I will try to move the widgets to the “inactive” section in Widget settings and then update, to see if they go away.

No matter what I do, the 15 widgets are gone after update to 2.3. I tried to move them to the inactive widgets, and then updating. They still disappears.

What do you suggest? What have you done to the plugin since WP throws them away on update?

    (@argentum)

Ok, sure. The site is a live one, so please don’t do anything that will crash it please. I will make a backup first of the database and plugins. Can you give me an email address? What kind of permissions do you need?
