update to 3.47.8 failure causes fatal error on the site

  • I tried to update to version 3.47.8 but repeatedly the update fails and causes a fatal error on my site, so I have to restore back to 3.47.6 from my backup.
    Site is running on WordPress 5.4.2–fr_FR with PHP 7.3

    version 3.47.9 update fails as well, same server error and crash of the site …

    Unfortunately no response from the support team so far, so I can’t update the plugin.

    Will lead to abandoning if not answered. A pity though …. I used Mailpoet 2 for many years, this version 3 is really becoming a headache.

    I encounter the same error again and again with every new update.
    Only solution is to delete all former Mailpoet files and install the plugin from the scratch. This is really not a comfortable solution.
