The update to 3.5.0 is not working. It stops after switching on the maintenance mode.
I have this problem on all sites where I use this plug in.

the problem because of we suddenly upgrade GuzzleHttp to a newer version that dropped support for 5.4 ??

Sorry, but we currently try to fix it and going to release the new fixed version as soon as possible, really sorry for any problem happens to you ??

For a temporary fix,Please login to FTP and then delete the backwpup folder at your wp-content/plugins, after that, you can install the older version of BWP from the zip file in here: https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/backwpup.3.4.5.zip

Or better, tell your hoster to upgrade PHP version to 5.6 or 7.0.

Sorry again for all the troubles you got ??

yes, that should work, I’m using 7.2 too.
Could you please try to install again?
If this error still happens, could you check the server log to see if there are any errors inside?
    Thanks!

There is nothing in the server log around the installation time.

Maybe it is a problem with http sites. I was successful with the update on a site where https is used.

    This is very strange.
I selected now the update in the plugins – installed plugins section instead of the dashboard. There was an error message after several minutes.
But then it turned to OK. Now I have the updated version.

Maybe it’s just a temporary glitch, the only problem now is we suddenly dropped support for PHP 5.4 or bellow, but it isn’t your case ??
