• Hi,
I had a problem with automatically updating to version 3.4.1 with an error message pointing to some deprecated files, and instructions that were not useful at all (change the call of a function but no instruction to rewrite the function). Unfortunately the error message was not to kill, and was visible (also by the public? tried different browsers), so I had to go back manually to the last version 3.2.1

I think it is not ok if automated updates end in error messages.

  • Hi Luise,
Did you have All in One SEO Pack installed on 3.2.1? Did you lose that plugin or its functionality upon upgrading ever so briefly to 3.4.1?

I want to upgrade to latest version as our site got hacked last week on 3.2.1 however I am worried we may lose our SEO efforts and usage of All in One SEO Pack. Do you have any advice on this?

    Rgds,
    Liv

I too installed 3.4.1, at first I got the deprecated errors too, to fix that I had to drop all the databases out and run install.php again. Even before updating to 3.4.1 my problem was that it wasn’t recognising my theme or something, I installed in a a sub-directory of the root named WPC btw, but all I can get when I visit the site is a page off the forum software running in the root directory? Can’t to get it to load the themes and such, themes are suppose to preview as you change settings, all I get is a blank screen on right side of editor??

    Please advise…
