• Hi,
Since the auto update to 4.2.3 I am no longer able to upload images / documents via the media updater. Additionally I am unable to update plugins. From the plugins screen – the icon spins, and claims to be updating, but nothing happens. If I attempt to from the update screen, I get an error message: “An error occurred while updating [plugin name] Could not create directory”

I have disabled all plugins and tested updating again, but the problem still persists.

I was wondering if it could be a file permissions issue (although these have not changed), or perhaps a PHP version issue – has the min PHP version required been changed with the update?

Has experienced similar issues? I know there have been other issues with this update involving links / shortcodes etc

  • I have the same problem ( i get error while uploading media) the error stats ” An error ocurred in the upload. Please try again later”

Tried several solutions but non of the them seems to work.

The strange thing is that if i close that uploader instance do a refresh and reopen i see the image that first gaved error.

Hi mzgl – did you get any further with this?
I have today uploaded an image to the uploads folder via ftp… and the image is already showing in the folder from when I tried to upload it the other day, but it is showing as 0 bytes.
