    Hello,

Hopefully someone knows what is going on. I went to upgrade my version of WordPress to 4.3 today. The way I have to upgrade WordPress and Plugins is to enter the FTP information each time. My install started like normal, but got hung up on Copying Files.

Now the site will not work and I cannot access the site or the Dashboard.

    I’ve tried:

    • Deleting maintenance mode
    • Renaming Update, Theme, and Plugin folders (one at a time), neither brought the site back
    • So I’m stuck ??

    Any ideas?

  • You might try a manual reinstall of the core files.

Try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copies of everything except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings. Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

Thank you, I will try that. Since the update failed while it was in the middle of copying files, will anything else be affected?

Shouldn’t be … just be careful and don’t delete the wp-content folder or wp-config.php files

Nope, I did not and everything is back to normal. Thank you!
