Update to 4.3.1 and "Add Media" button within a post is still broken

  • Two issues:

    I can’t upload media from the “Add Media” button within a post BUT if I go to the Media Library page, I can upload fine.

    Also, the right side of the “Add Media” screen (again doing this froim a post) is blank – all the meta data for each image is just not displaying.

    It’s been two weeks and the Media Library stuff is still very much in flux.

  • I’m having the same problem on one of my sites. I cannot upload or add an existing image to a post or page. I’m also having problems with the “featured image” not being able to select one for a new post. Had these problems fpr over a week now and still the same after 4.3.1 update.

    This needs to be addressed stat. I have never had stability issues with WP until very recently.

    I’m having the same issue too. Very frustrating… I can’t update anything at the moment because of this bug.

    Seems to be back working now again. I have added a image and a featured image to a post that I published a week ago.

    I had the same problem. Images would not upload into the Media library and I could not edit existing images.

    I had upgraded to PHP 5.6.11 at the same time that I upgraded WordPress to 4.3.1. To troubleshoot the issue, I rolled back to PHP 5.3.24 (which is what was on the server before the upgrade) and everything works just fine now.

    The issue is with PHP.
