After updating to Version 5.7.0 we were forced to go through set up again but entries were not possible.
Now Online Shop is not working, page returned error message 500.

We didn’t have any issues before updating, please release a fix as soon as possible.
    Thank you!

  • Hello! Can confirm this is happening with hundreds, if not thousands, of websites with the 5.7.0 upgrade.

We can’t do much but wait for a bug fix release! Frustrating.

@mathewborja how annoying! good to hear that we all have the same problem. then hopefully it will be solved quickly.

completely destroyed my site formatting – total disaster.
It’s taken me 4 hours to rebuild and I still can’t get rid of the ‘tax’ reminder. Also the useful Woocommerce dashboard box is now missing and I still have their [expletive] ‘set-up’ box which I can’t get rid off and do not need. FFS.

    REALLY, REALLY BAD CODE BOYS…..

    EDIT:
To restore the useful Woocommerce Orders widget, you must complete the ‘set-up’ process. In my case that meant creating a tax file I did not need and installing and then deleting a marketing plugin I did not want…. come on guys REALLY??

However, useful widget is now showing once again and after a lengthy layout rebuild, all seems to working and orders are flowing again. Thank you for trashing my store.

Yeps. Good job for fresh installs, annoying for existing sites.

There’s no way to get rid of the WooCommerce Setup dashboard widget which had replaced the useful summary of orders.

    QUICK FIX
I deactivated all plugins, then activated Woocommerce first. After that I activated only the most essential plugins that keep my site running.
    So far it works.

Will update all other plugins one by one and see what happens.
    Good Luck to you all.

Thanks for all the reports, we are looking at this as the priority. Redoing setup is not intended at all and is a bug. Sorry for the inconvenience everyone!

Same problem here! Alltough first it looks like the layout crashed when you are logged in as an admin, public site seems ok on a pc. on a mobile the menu is crashed.
Correction: When you click on a menu, the layout crashes.

We are still on Woocommerce Version 5.6.0 and are getting the “Set up Woocommerce” – actually we didn’t update a thing and got this message. Just input to the developers.

I am following this thread as I have enough problems going on without adding crashed stores to the list…

Can confirm, crashed my site as well and had to restore last night’s backup, no way to rollback or fix.

I have hundreds of online exams as products. Do I need to create all those again. The update is still at “Step 3 of 6” and running same for the past 5 hours. Does it impact Products also or just settings? Pls clarify, dear authors of plug in.

Online shop completely crash after updating Woocommerce latest version 5.7.0 , it never happen before , I’am maintaining and using WooCommerce for more than 5 years. strange thing that I am not able to activate any version of WooCommerce on my hosting , its completely deadlock.

In my case WordPress is telling me that the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin was the culprit.
This happened after updating to the latest WooCommerce plugin version
    WordPress 5.8.1
Plugin: WooCommerce PayPal Payments (versione 1.5.1)
    PHP version 7.4.23

@tatjanagreatsimple Same thing here: “Step x on 6” using Woocommerce 5.6.0. Didn’t you get a Woocommerce Admin plugins update yesterday (updated to 2.6.4)?
For me it was the culprit.
    Today’s v2.6.5 solved the problem.

Should you test that, do it on a staging / clone site.
