Update to 5.9.0 – Website inaccessible

    I installed the three updates for Shortcodes 5.9.0. The installation of the plugings stayed in Maintenance Mode. I removed the Maintenance file from my website. At this point, I was unable to access any of my web pages.

    I recovered the website from the previous day’s backup.

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Hi Richard,

    do you use the Extra Shortcodes add-on?

    If YES

    Reinstall it, you need version 1.7.4.

    If NO

    Enable WP_DEBUG on your site. Then post here any errors you’ll see instead of the maintenance screen.

    To enable WP_DEBUG, edit the wp-config.php file, find a line with define( 'WP_DEBUG', false ); and change false to true.

    I have updated with Extra Shortcodes 1.7.4. All working well.
