Update to 7.0.1 – admin page blank

I confirm it’s fixed for me as well, thanks. Another issue however, unrelated to this and it’s been happening for a while, when I click on “Overview” the page ~times out after a while and I get a 404 error. Clicking elsewhere like “Hits” or “Browsers” does work. I have a busy wp site so the stats are likely to be quite large, would that be the cause?

Checking the DB, table “wp_statistics_visitor” has 252,436 entries.

BrianToyoko: The overview page is very resource intensive, check your pho and webserver logs to see if your running out of time or hitting an execution time limit.

It’s reaching execution time limit after 1 minute.

You have a few options then:

– Remove some of the widgets you don’t need from the overview page (the left hand column widgets are more resource intensive than the right hand ones, which is purely coincidence)
– Increase the execution time limit (1 minute seems a little low but see next point)
– Take a look at the web/sql host and see if it needs some more resources (the overview page really shouldn’t take that long to load unless there’s a significantly performance issue somewhere)
– Purge some older data

I’m still having the same issue, even after updating to 7.0.4.

My screen is blank and stays blank….And I really need my stats.

Hopefully someone will help me.

does it work if you rename the plugins folder?

Where do I do that?

through ftp. i can check if you trust me with your login.

Will you explain it for me step by step? If I can’t get it to work you can check! ?? (site is my job)

it’s a bit technical if you never used ftp. you need to get to the wp plugins folder and rename the wp-statistics one to something else then try if admin area works again.

how did you update to 7.0.4?

Does the name matter? Could it be anything? I’ll check tomorrow.

Could do the update within the dashboard ??

it does. what issue are you having then? the issue was updating to 7.0.2, we were unable to access the dashboard or anything, so I’m a bit confused.

My issue is that when I click on WP-Statistics, the screen remains blank – where normally, the statistics are, so I can still see the dashboard menu on the left but it doesn’t show statistics…
