    I had to rollback immediately to 9.8. All videos displayed using

    [video width="1920" height="1080" mp4="https://nottherealsite.com/wp-content/uploads/nameofvideo.mp4"][/video]

    showed as front end properly sized but blank boxes without controls or content.

    Could you please activate 9.9 again and take a screenshot of how the video is appearing versus how it should appear?

    That will take me a while, but I also received this error message from WordPress right after I installed 9.9.
