Thanks for the update to the plugin. It fixed my question about getting the abstract of an item.

I’m wondering if in fact using CSS is a better way to go for formatting the output in WordPress. While CSL output is easy to format in Word, in WordPress the output is just a lump of data (and I don’t yet know enough about CSL to know to how to manipulate it).

The direct output provided by your plugin seems tobe based on a useful set of classes (you give us a decent list) but there does not seem to be a class for the abstract. Have I missed it? If it isn’t there would be it be possible to update the plugin to provide it or could you tell me how to edit the PHP to add it myself?

Any advice you can give me is much appreciated.

By the way, my aim is to use the Abstract as an annotation or summary field rather than simply to display the abstract provided by the author. However, if it is possible to use the Notes field instead that might be preferable.

Sorry for the delay in my response – but I was offline for some days ??

And thanks for the positive feedback!

About your suggestion: I will definitely extend the CSS formatting options (and perhaps document them a little better) for the next version of the plugin … however, this will take until end of January due to some other tasks that have higher priority …
