update to theme removed all custom colors/logo

  • we have only done minimum theme updates .. colors, logo, slide images.. all using the theme customizer and ALL of our custom changes disappeared after the latest theme update.
    I have restored from backup.. twice to make sure it wasn’t a fluke.
    How can I update the theme without losing all of our changes?
