  • Getting the same – Warning: exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /www/htdocs/w009fe8d/xxx/wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/functions/interface.php on line 106

    and

    …line 107

Same here! Host is GoDaddy and plugin was running fine before today’s update.

Ditto, and I’m with another provider, logoinn.

And now I cannot set a featured image on a listing. Is there a way to roll back the update? If there isn’t, there should be.

Same. I’ve just updated the plugin to version 3.0.2 and get a similar error message:

Warning: exec() [function.exec]: Unable to fork [whoami] in D:\Hosting\11755318\html\wp\wp-content\plugins\backupwordpress\functions\interface.php on line 106

Warning: exec() [function.exec]: Unable to fork [groups] in D:\Hosting\11755318\html\wp\wp-content\plugins\backupwordpress\functions\interface.php on line 107

I’ve temporarily deactivated the plug-in and it has solved the issues I’m having.

I got the exact Same issue.

Yes, I too see the same warnings. It was working fine before this update.

Hope the team would get us a patch soon ??

    same problem here… on 19 websites…. grrrrr

Same problem here. Plus, if I try and download a backup from the plugins list of site backups I receive the following message:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/xxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/functions/interface.php:106) in /home/englis01/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1179

To roll back to the previous version, delete the plugin directory (/backupwordpress/) found in /wp-content/plugins/ and either upload one from a recent backup or use the this version (3.0.1) from the developers’ repository:

I’m sorry you’re having issues with the latest update.
I’ll get a fix out ASAP.

    Same to me ….
Warning: exec(): Unable to fork [whoami] in …..wp-content\plugins\backupwordpress\functions\interface.php on line 106 Warning: exec(): Unable to fork [groups] in ….wp-content\plugins\backupwordpress\functions\interface.php on line 107

I’m having a different problem, the plugin won’t load as it needs PHP 5.3.2 or higher and says my server doesn’t have it when it really has PHP 5.4.24 which is current enough. I’m on Blue Host. It was fine before the update, I’d just like to have the previous version to install.

@ Felice – BlueHost showed the same to me (in the c-panel sidebar) but when I checked the PHP version in the “software section / PHP” in c-panel, it was still on v5.2 and needed to be upgraded. It resolved the issue.

twowithink- Thanks for the info. I’ll checkout Blue Host again and see if it needs to be upgraded.
