I have an available update for Mollie translations… but after updating it says there is still an update available.

“Vertalingen updaten voor Mollie Payments for WooCommerce (nl_NL)…
    Vertaling is succesvol geüpdatet.”

No errors or warning in the PHP log.

  • @djg269, @darkallman Keep in mind that the issue can come back as soon as there’s a new translation update. They will probably be deleted again as the issue is still present in the plugin.

@josklever That’s right, but in the meantime we have gotten rid of the notifications in, for example, MainWP. ??

I did the same but after a language update the problem returns!!!! We tested this #polyglots NL.

Again I confirm. I had another translation update and then the Mollie update notification returned.

    This also worked for me.

    1. Download the 7.8.0 version from https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/mollie-payments-for-woocommerce/advanced/ (scroll to the bottom of the page)
    2. Install the plugin by overwriting version 7.8.2
    3. Update the language.
    4. Update the plugin to version 7.8.2

@jurgenmo Only until the next update, as was proven a few comments above. So if you want to do the extra work, be my guest, but it makes no sense to recommend it to others.

    Thanks @jurgenmo
Hopefully it is fixed in the next version…

    all comments confirmed ????

Having the same update issue again. Not gonna do the work again, gonna wait for an update. Does anyone knows if Mollie is notified about the issue?

@djg269 Yes, as you can see in the thread @femiyb does support for Mollie and says they are looking into it. See his last comment: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/update-translations-3/#post-18063530

    Hello all

Thank you all for your valuable feedback and for bringing this issue to our attention. We apologize for the inconvenience you’ve been experiencing with the plugin translations after recent updates to the translation ecosystem.

In the next plugin update, we will remove all local translations from the plugin files. This change will allow the translations from the WordPress plugin repository to be used going forward, which should resolve the issues described in this thread.

This upcoming update is scheduled for early November. Our team will make a beta version available for testing on our GitHub repository here about a week prior to the official release. We will let you know in this thread when it is the case.

We appreciate your patience and encourage you to try out the beta version once it’s available. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve the plugin to your needs.

    Thanks again and best regards,
    Femi.

    Same problem here.

Thank you for that update @femiyb, much appreciated.

Personally I find it odd and maybe even a bit concerning that a commercially supported plugin like Mollie’s takes three to four weeks to fix a bug like this. Mollie is in the banking industry and we have to be able to convince our clients to trust in Mollie too.

WordPress updates are important and even through translations are not that exciting (or even in the security category), having an update available for weeks on end makes me fear for the story about the boy that cried wolf.

I understand there are schedules in place and that translations are maybe not top priority but I would love it if a patch release could fix this problem that is bugging a lot of users (way more than actually post on this support forum, of course) that are using this plugin.

    Just my two cents.

    @neejoh I would +1 that if I could.

When is this going to be fixed? The first report about this was already on september 11, 2024.

    Hey everyone!

If you’re still facing the translation update issue, there’s a beta version of the Mollie plugin that can help: https://mollie.inpsyde.com/beta.

This update pulls translations from www.ads-software.com, which should stop those annoying update prompts. However, keep in mind that some translations might not be as complete as before.

The official fix is coming in early November, and by then, we expect more translations to be fully approved. Hang in there—better updates are on the way! ??

    Thanks for you patience.

    Regards,
    Femi.
