• The last update of plugin caused issues on my website (crashing, no possible changes on pages at all) and after speaking with the web hosting provider I had to deactivate it and to install a previous version 1.7.00. Hopefully the next update solves it. Thanks.

  • Sometimes things turn out surprisingly simple.

I downloaded the .gpx files, deactivated the plugin, reactivated the plugin, uploaded the .gpx file that had caused an error cascade, and now everything seems fine again.

Probably just eddies in the space-time-continuum.

@elliot81 I will just point out I have nothing to do with GPX maps. I just happen to have had the same problem but luckily for me, I have the right experience to know how to fix this particular problem.

You might still have the same problem – The plugin still activates. You only get the error when you look at a page with a map.

You can find the file under your wordpress folder. – The generic address for that is /var/www/html/public/ but it could be anything, depends on how your system is setup. Then follow the path down into wp-content => plugins => wp-gpx-maps

You could try locate wp-gpx-maps-admin.php to get the full path.

Downgrading to 1.7.00 worked for me – thanks for suggesting this! I was unable to edit posts/add images (kept getting json errors, and assumed it was due to Gutenberg or some other aspect of WP or plugin). Cheers!
