    Hi Frank,
I had some problems with my blog and had to put back a backup.
But then I couldn’t update from 4.7.10 to 5.0.1 again.
Still the same issue, the update seems to go fine. I get an updated message. But then when I try to choose something else in the admin I can’t and get the “too many redirects” message again.
I tried everything. Sweeping the database, empty the caches, put back databases and files etc. but nothing works.
I am now using version 4.7.10, but obviously I want to update to the 5.0.1 version.
    What can I do?

Is here somebody that can help me please?

It would be really great if the author removed the redirect to ?page=qsm_about. Instead, there could be a banner on top of the page, advising the user to go there manually.

Could that be the problem for my site? I still haven’t heard from the author, so I still am on version 4.7.10, but if there isn’t going to be a solution, I will have to try another plugin to create a quiz, but that really is a nuisance, since I will loose the obe I have now.

I don’t know if it would help, but you could try to comment out the redirect in quiz-master-next/php/class-qsm-install.php and see if the upgrade finishes succesfully after that. But do a website backup before.

Hi Symp, thanks, but I don’t think that is a good idea. That redirect is there for a reason.
So I will wait till the author finds the time to answer.

Finally found out what is the problem. It turned out to be the Redis Object Cache plugin.
    Never tought of that one.
But when I flushed the object cache I could install the Quiz Master plugin.
I hope it will help somebody else too.
One last note: it is too bad that there is so little support for this plugin. That is when you have the free version.
I understand everybody is busy, but there are enough plugin authors from plugins that are wellknown, that do answer your questions. Like for instance the author of the Nextgen plugin.
    Just my 2 cents.

    Hey @johanna2patricia!

Thank you for your patience. I am glad that you were able to identify a fix for the issue that you were experiencing. I will definitely add Redis Object Cache to our standard things to check if anyone experiences a similar issue in the feature.

    Take care!
