  • Hey BeHeard. Thanks for updating early, and apologies for the inconvenience you’ve faced so far; this is an odd issue and yours is the first report of it I’ve come across.

The first thing I’d suggest would be to do a total flushing of your caches, since some of the critical-looking issues we’ve had reported with 3.0 (ie: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/fatal-error-after-update-missing-file?replies=6) have been resolved by taking that step alone.

If that doesn’t do the trick, would you mind sharing a link to your site so we can check out the problem in action? We’ll do our best to help get this sorted from there. Thanks again for your support and patience so far.

Thanks – had done that and flushed dns just in case.
It is as a few folks have noted here, the links do not work in the widget apart from “View all Events”.
when that is clicked in the widget, we still get the correct data in the calendar and list for the month.

In the widget on the sidebar
the display is now showing as text over a star which used to be beside the star..

Where can I send the sitelink please.

Can you post the sitelink into the forum here? If you don’t want to for security purposes or something similar, email it to pro /a/ tri.be (with a link to this tweet) and we’ll check it out from there. Thanks!

Interesting some folks are getting large spaces between events in the widget list, The events in those widgets also do not have a working hyperlink, they also return to the same page..

We are getting no space and a star that is under the text itself so our are all bunched up.

and to confirm all 3 style versions provide the exact same widget result but does change the actual event list and calendar

Will put the link back up when you are here, dont want to leave it on here. thanks so much again for a fantastic plugin.

Got it – thanks for sharing the link there, BeHeard. I’m seeing the problem there and this is indeed an interesting issue…I talked to the rest of the team a little while ago and they confirmed that they’d seen a couple of reports along these lines specific to WooThemes (and specifically, the Canvas theme). Can you confirm the theme you’re using here?

I’m having the same or similar issue with the upcoming event widget links using v. 3.0 and Wootique – you can see it here. The widget links just refer to whatever page you are currently on (they are empty). There is also an issue with the calendar root url not working, or the root/upcoming url. Only when we put a link to an event category in the menu, can one navigate to an event. We have another site using Wootique and v. 2.0.11 that works just fine…

    Hi 1dropgrant,

Have you tried refreshing your permalinks by visting Settings > Permalinks?

    – Jonah

    Hi Jonah,
Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, no luck. I think it may be related to Woocommerce. Since my first post, I’ve noticed that when The Events Calendar plugin is activated, it breaks the Woocommerce Product Archive page – the page displays this error about a dozen times across the top: ” Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in /wp-includes/post.php on line 1094″. We don’t have any integration set up, or planned between The Events Calendar and Woocommerce in this install. Although the other Wootique/The Events Calender 2.0.11 site we have is using Wootickets/Woocommerce and it works great. Any other thoughts? Thanks.

    no Not Woo commerce

Is this part of the update for .ht access file

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
    </IfModule>

Could this be a security plugin issue?
ie have a message re ht access file not being writable..

See this post – links now working – layout still looks odd.

Hey BeHeard. We feel you here; we’ve got a patch forthcoming that should address the remaing widget problems that persist. Thanks again for your patience in the interim. (If I can offer you a heavily discounted a PRO license at any point for your troubles, please don’t hesitate to let me know).
