  • I use kingcomposer also on my website and as it looks like, this plugin is abandoned, for months there are no updates, the last update was 5 months ago, also unresponsive support, their king-theme.com website also seems to be left to decay…I’m personally switching over to Elementor, which of course is extremely time consuming …if you have a larger website. Overall, though, it’s pretty shocking what these developers are doing, there are 100.000 websites with this plugin…and they are all doomed now…incredible irresponsibility what some developers are doing. Personally, I prefer to avoid any website builder plugins…or any 3th party plugins that can seriously damaging the website, even by Elementor I would never install it if I would have know-how to bulid the page without it, as the developers can simply stop working on a plugin..as it seems is here the case… and then you are in ass…

    Meanwhile you can disable the gutenberg editor in functions.php to work with the plugin kingcomposer

    add_filter( 'use_block_editor_for_post', '__return_false' );

    Thanks, for now it solves the problem. But hope the developers will go further with the project.

    I have 10 sites with KC without probs.

    But you’re right KC is dead I also will change to elementor for new projects.

    Thanks for the update

    Yeah, I like KC, hope it will have a future

    Dear all,
    Like many King Composer users, I see that there is no longer any update.
    I would like to hear from you, because I have 5 wordpress sites that we use King composer and I’m wondering if I should replace King composer with another plugin, or if you think there will be an update to faster.
    If I have to replace the King composer plugin, do I have to rebuild again all the pages of my sites, or if there is a compatible plugin with which I would not need to rebuild again all the pages ?

    I’m not a wordpress professional, that’s why I’m asking for your opinion.

    Thanks
