Updated Avada Theme and Crashed Our Site
-
We updated WP to 6.0 and were having some issues so we updated our theme (Avada). We couldn’t find the registration code, so had to purchase it again. Once it was registered it asked us to activate several plugins. I clicked “activate” on the Avada Builder plugin. And then “update”. It spent a few minutes with the little circle going before the whole site crashed with the following error message:
“There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”1. How to figure out what our site admin email is? Because it’s none of us that have admin site logins.
2. One of our developers (not that well versed in WP though) is trying to use the MySQL files to find the plugin and deactivate it. Where could it be?
3. Any other ideas on how to fix this? Or even what caused it?
