• I’m pretty lost here, all the guides and tutorials I can find for this plugins are for much older versions of wordpress. I’m using a godaddy hosting account which allows me to have unlimited domains and I’m trying to figure out how to map domains with this plugin and my godaddy hosting. Does anyone know of a tutorial or guide that is current? I’ve already installed WordPress, activated multisite in subdirectory mode, installed this plugin, moved the sunrise php file, but from this point I’m not sure what to do….Thanks in advance.

The instructions for mapping domains have not changed in the last 4 years (since WP 3.1).

Well now I feel dumb, I’ll have to take another look more carefully. But from what I recall, there was some step where you have to enter a site ID number, but I didn’t see any place to obtain that ID number. I must have just missed it completely.

I went through it again, and found something else online about changing the folder to the root on godaddy. I did that, waited a few minutes and now when I go to site2.com, the address bar shows site1.com/site2, not site2.com. I think I’m missing an additional step so that site2.com shows up in the address bar?

Nevermind, I got it now, you have to check the box that says Primary, which is misleading because primary makes you think of the root domain, but it’s working now.

You get the site ID by hovering over the edit site action link. The ID is in the query string of the URL.
