Updated language files

  • Hi guys,
    Everyone who uses this plugin noticed that both .po and .mo for the specific languages files are outdated.

    I checked some complaints here in the forum about strings that are ‘untranslatable’, but it is not a plugin failure … The current 1.5.1 plugin version has a lot of strings that are not included in the files provided by the Contributors because the translations were done a long time ago.

    In my case (pt-br), the translation file was done for the 1.1.5 version.
    So, can I update the language files and submit to you for the future updates? Wich mail address can receive the updated files? While the plugin does not support the translation via official WordPress GlotPress (https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/mailchimp), how can we help translating the plugin?

    Thanks for reaching out – you are totally correct. The translation strings need to be reformatted and that is definitely on our radar. Unfortunately we won’t be able to provide an estimated time frame for resolution for this issue, but please feel free to check in at any time and I’ll provide updates as I am able to do so.

    That being said, you ask a very good question about submitting translations – there was a vetting process in place in the past but we are currently re-vamping that process. Because of that at the moment there is no formal submission process in place. We hope to bring that back sometime in the near future. I’ll do my best to follow up here once that’s been resolved on our end.
