Updated now all galleries are gone from posts

@vikingatwar – What version did you update from; and, what type of display were the shortcodes meant to show?

I update every time it says too so the very last version.

The short which I use in the posts is [ nggallery id=36 ] obviously, the gallery ID changes each time. The “add NextGen Gallery to post” tool above the post has never seemed to work so I have always used the shortcode.

I’m not sure what you mean by “display”. You can probably tell from my use of the basic shortcode that I did not try to manipulate parameters. The basic display has always been fine.

@vikingatwar – Are you seeing the shortcode text instead of the (gallery) display … or just a blank (filler?) space?

A link to a page/post where there is a “missing” gallery might also be useful.

The short code is completely missing when I look at the post in edit mode. I checked for it after I saw that the galleries were not showing on the posts. No photos, no short code, nothing. I went in to edit a post that had a gallery and even in the edit mode, the short code was missing.

Some are now showing up but there must be a glitch. Please let me know if you see something.

@vikingatwar – the galleries are showing up in both posts when I check. Have you tried clearing your cache or checking from a different browser?
You may also want to try temporarily deactivating your other plugins and checking the site, just to eliminate any potential interference from other plugins.

I can’t explain it but most ended up working and a few I had to re-enter the code into the post.
