Updated plug-ins and now my site is gone

  • I updated my plug-ins and now my site is gone with only this cheery little text:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/content/02/11099402/html/wp-content/plugins/portfolio-slideshow/lib/Plugin.php on line 57

  • Here are a few solutions you can do to get your website back online.

    * You can disable “portfolio-slideshow” manually with phpmyadmin.

    * You can login File Manager or FTP, and change the folder name of “portfolio-slideshow” to anything.

    * You can download an old version of the plugin files and overwrite the current one on your site.

    The latest version of the plugin seems to require PHP 5.4 and above.
