Updated Plugin and now I am unable to enter my blog

Hi,
Yesterday I got a message in my dashboard, stating that I should update Plugin-central plugin. Without giving any further thought to the suggested action, I went ahead and updated the plugin.
to my surprise, when the update seem to be completed, I press the link to go back to the plugin page as there were other plugins waiting to be updated. When I clicked on that link, a blank page appeared. And unfortunately, it continues to appear as I try to access the following address: https://www.mysite.com/wp-adminA complete blank page appears , no errors, no nothing, just a blank page shows up and I can log back into my blog. What Could happen?
What I did then, is go to my ftp program and delete the folder that contained plugin-central files, thinking this will solve the problem. the fact is that it didn’t.
I do not know what else to do! Can you help?
I see my sites pages. I simply can’t add new posts, pages, etc.
