I just updated to WordPress 3.6 and I updated Efficient Related Posts to 0.4.0 at the same time. Now the plugin isn’t working on my site at all. There is no error message – it’s just not showing on the live site (it WAS working today before I updated everything).

First I tried “Building Relationships” – it said that was successfully completed but the Related Posts still weren’t showing on any of my pages. Next I deleted the plugin & re-installed it. Nothing. I re-built the relationships. Still nothing.

I’ve used this plugin successfully for months – I don’t know what is wrong? Anyone else having problems?

  • I have the same problem.

Same problem here. WP version 3.6.

I haven’t yet updated to 3.6 (still on 3.5.1) but I did update this plugin today and same problem as the rest of you – it’s not working at all now.

Same problem here. No related posts since update.

Same problem here, I’m afraid. I rebuilt the index but after upgrading to WP 3.6 the plugin doesn’t show.

Ah, thanks Andreas. Will definitely have a look. Much appreciated.

But perhaps the developer of Efficient Related Posts will come up with another update that will fix the problem we’re experiencing. I think I will wait a couple of days before switching over.

I changed back to the older version. There is one more php-file then in the newest version. Don’t know if that is the mistake…

At the moment I will wait… …thanks to Andreas for the replacement. Maybe I will change later to it.

Hi Andy, a great idea. Do you know where I can find the previous version? (I didn’t save a copy …)

Yes, I will upload my copy to my website:

[ Moderator note: link deleted, please use the developer tab on the plugin page for old versions ]

(should be available in some minutes…)

Is it there yet? I get an “Content not found” message …

While downgrading anything is not really recommended, for old versions of any plugin you can look at the developers tab on the plugin page.

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/efficient-related-posts/developers/

You should be wary of downloading old versions from other locations.

Note: I’m not accusing anyone of any ill will. ?? Just that there is no reason to visit non-www.ads-software.com sites when all you want is the previous version of a plugin.

Thank you, Jan! I downloaded previous version 0.3.8 from this page, plugin is working again (0.4.0 was removed).

Thanks for the tip Jan. I didn’t know about those older versions being so easily available ??

Anyway, just like Helen I just restored version 0.3.8 and now everything is back to normal. I do hope that the developer will look into this problem.

Sorry, didn’t know that there is a way to get older versions of any plugin…

However, the new version don’t work and everyone will be able to restore to an older version until the developer will release a fix.
