    Ive just updated a plugin (1-flash-gallery) and it has crashed my site. How do I fix it? I cant even login to the dashboard.

    My site is https://www.roamingwithroan.com

    Warning: require_once(includes/thumbs/ThumbLib.inc.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home3/roaming8/public_html/wp-content/plugins/1-flash-gallery/fgallery.php on line 34

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘includes/thumbs/ThumbLib.inc.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib64/php:/usr/lib/php:/usr/share/pear’) in /home3/roaming8/public_html/wp-content/plugins/1-flash-gallery/fgallery.php on line 34

    Hope you can help!

  • I don’t know if this can help. But go to the plugin site and manually download the zip file of the plugin you wished to update. Place it in the plugins directory by going to the cPanel file manager in your hosting account.

    Probably when you were updating the plugin something stopped the process in between and crashed your site.

    I just gave it a go but it didnt seem to work. Should I maybe delete the whole plugin file and see what happens? Im using bluehost to host my site, and when extracting that plugin, it doesnt seem to overwrite the old files.

    Thanks Neeraj for the helping so far. Hopefully I can find a solution soon ??

    Should I maybe delete the whole plugin file

    Delete the wp-content/plugins/1-flash-gallery folder.

    THANKS HEAPS!!!! Im back up and running!!!!

    Excellent ??

    You are welcome. Just as a precautionary measure…before you update any plugin deactivate it and then proceed. Some files are in use when you are updating and therefore may cause problem updating.
