updated posts status always changed to "pending"

I’m using this plugin and it seems to work as advertised.

But I have an issue. Whenever I update a post and resubmit the form – I don’t get a new post – this is good and what I want – But I get the status of the original formed changed to “pending”. Ideally I would like to be to just “update in place” as occurs in the admin page for editing posts. Lacking that, I would be satisfied if the updated posts are left as “publish” as the were originally.
