updated the plugin and now i get parse error

    I updated the plugin today my site went down so i had to rename the plugin to get back in. It says

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /hermes/bosnacweb04/bosnacweb04be/b353/dom.lafamiliahernandezne/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gallery-plugin/gallery-plugin.php on line 237

    and it will not let me activate plugin. opened the file on notepad but does have the lines numbered. not sure how to find the correct section.
