Updated to 2.7.1 but stills notice me of a new update

    I’ve updated manually from 2.7 to 2.7.1 and WP stills notices me about a new upgrade possible.
    When I click to automatic update, it downloads, uncompress and then nothing more.

    Anything missed ?

  • Well, I had the same issue and looked at another more or less exactly WP installation and one of the differences where that my own WP has WordPress auto upgrade plugin installed and the other didn’t and there was no issue with either upgrade or issue with notice of upgrade.

    So in my case the solution was to disable and as well I deleted the wordpress auto upgrade plugin and voila issue solved.

    As MichaelH suggested, I have deleted the “update_core” and “update_plugins” options in “wp_options” ; and it works ok : WordPress now recognizes the 2.7.1 updates, and my plug-in updates.

    The problem is closed for me.

    I’m trying to auto upgrade to 2.7.1 but it just hangs at “unpacking the core update”.. Does anyone else have this problem? It doesn’t do anything, just stay “unpacking the core update” forever.
