• Hello,

I recently updated my wordpress website to 3.9 without backing up and as a result everything got extremely wonky. Plugins would not work. After downgrading back down to 3.8.3 (replacing wp-admin and wp-include folders) my template was perfectly fine, but my plugins were affected. I get the following message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_register_plugin_realpath() in /home/content/49/11685449/html/han/wp-settings.php on line 213

Even after deleting a plugin and re-installing it, I still get the same message. I am still on 3.8.3 but with this error, can anyone help me out to fix my plugins and website? Thank you.

Thank you, I’ve tried de-activating the plugins. I want to stay on 3.8.3 and not 3.9 because it has caused errors in my theme which hasn’t been updated to the newest version yet. The problem I have now is that I now have a fatal error when I try to re-download plugins on 3.8.3 after downgrading.

I’m having a similar issue only worse. My template and everything was fine, and then I upgraded wot WP 3.9 and everything went kerflooey. My once beautiful site became a mass of code. So I tried to downgrade to 3.8.3 which had been fine with my template but now all I have on my site is a blank page with this message: “Fatal error: Call to undefined function force_ssl_admin() in /home/content/34/12020934/html/wp-login.php on line 15.” I have the same thing showing when I go to my Wp-login page…I just get a blank screen with that message. I’m totally lost now how to fix it. I’m grateful for any help.

3.9 because it has caused errors in my theme which hasn’t been updated to the newest version yet

you may want to contact the theme developers and ask them for updated version conpatible with 3.9

Oh, sorry about that. I thought since it was related to the original topic it was okay for me to post here. I will create my own topic. Thanks.
