Hi @airflame,
Thanks for clarifying that as well, I thought you were referring to the issue of multiple pop-ups with this version.
Could I ask for you to get in touch with us here so that I can assist on a more direct and quicker basis? https://premium.wpmudev.org/contact/
We really want to ensure this is completely sorted for you in the fastest possible manner and if you could contact us there, simply selecting “I have another question” and for the subject including “ATTN: David”, I’ll gladly help with that asap.
I could then report the solution back here for others to reference.
Would that be okay with you?
Cheers,
DavidI dont see a point in getting touch with wpmudev. As i posted before i have uninstalled the product.
Hi @airflame, okay we can understand you’d prefer not to use the plugin but we’d love to assist in getting this all sorted if you’d be willing to.
Cheers!
DavidHola David, he actualizado vuestro plugin y no me funciona, me puedes ayudar a solucionar el tema?
Hi @cabello_frank,
We’ll be more than happy to help! Could you please create a new post here:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/wordpress-popupAnd if you could please provide as much detail as possible, that will help us to help you out. ??
Thanks!
DavidHi David.
Some more info on this issue (I’ve seen the same thing as airflame – not working at all)
Mode – display only on selected urls.
404 errors logged:
/?inc_popup= followed by page e.g. /?inc_popup=about-us (if the page url was domain/about-us) etc for each page using the pop-up
Doesn’t matter which loading method either.Sorry I can’t give you access to the site as it’s a client’s, and only a single pop-up is useless to her so have removed the plugin. Older version seems to have problems with WP 3.9 etc so cannot revert. No surprises there – just about every plugin since then has issues again.
My own sites are using 4.4.5.4 and WP 3.8.2 and have no problems (and I’m not updating my own sites to later versions of WP)
Hi there @mikeotgaar,
Thanks for those details and sorry to hear you’ve experienced similar trouble. We’d need a new thread to help keep the issues separate, it could very well be that the original poster had a theme or plugin that was conflicting and you could possibly have a different plugin or theme conflict.
If you could go ahead and create a new post, we’ll gladly look through that with you.

One quick way to try and sort it though, is to deactivate all other plugins and switch to Twenty Fourteen. That will help to see if it’s due to a plugin or theme conflict.
No matter the case though, we’ll gladly take a look through a new topic.
How does that sound?
Cheers, David
HI David
Thanks for response ??
I ran a test on a mirror dev site with the latest version – It works, so looks like problem is resolved.RE “new thread” – done
Lastly – a word of encouragement: It’s fully understandable why more and more developers are switching to “Pro” versions of their plugins. Yes, we get irritated when this happens with an existing plugin, and features previously available are missing from the free option.
(And it’s not easy to get clients to go for the pro option for something they’ve used for a long time – It’s hard to get them just to make a donation).Users of free plugins must realise; development takes time, sometimes a LOT of time – As so often happens with WP version updates now, changes in core require extensive reworks of plugin code –
It’s not necessary for users to become abusive!
There’s always the option to hire a developer to update a system (for compatibility for security reasons), develop a bespoke plugin… They’d pay for the time – on a once-off basis – the work would cost several hundred to many thousands of $.Plugin developers who switch to Pro versions spread the development cost over many plugins, and take the risk they won’t ever get full payment for their time…
WordPress FREE plugins are provided with NO GUARANTEE. Developers are not obliged to provide free support.
If something goes wrong, YES report the issue.
But if it takes days or even months to get a response, remember that the help provide on these WordPress forums is FREE. If immediate support is wanted – then go for the pro option. If support is slow or poor when one has bought a system, then there’s a valid reason to complain.Hi @mikeotgaar,
Glad it’s working for you now with the latest version ??
Thanks for explaining users about free plugins and their support. This will help users to understand it.
Your help here is really appreciated.
Thank you for responding here and have a fantastic day!
Cheers,
WPMU DEV
