    I found this thread:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/widget-logic-visual-not-working-with-35?replies=28#post-4722247

and I was the last post before it was closed. But only 15 minutes after I posted that the fix I implemented, that everyone else said worked – does not work. It makes it so that one can now open and add widgets, but one cannot edit widgets.

    The fix does not work.

It’s the same for me. I’m using WLV with the 3.6.1 update and I try the fix.
Now I can open and add widgets but not edit limitation.
    What can we do ?

    esmi,

I do not understand your comment. We did create our own topic. Did we not create our own topic in the right way?

EmmaKremer – in response to your question, “What can we do?” – quite honestly I could not have my client’s site not working and given this problem has gone on for quite a bit without a peep from the plugin developer, I used a different solution. I personally used WooSidebars. I had used it before and find it to be stable, built by a business with longevity, and works quite well. Different approach to customizing widgets, but it works well.

My response was directed to @emmakremer who needs to post his/her own topic.

    esmi,

Thanks for responding. Help me please. Why would @emmakremer post a new topic?

If someone has the same problem, is it not redundant to start a new topic and rather more efficient to add a comment on an existing post that indicates a problem?

For a developer, they may get 10 posts about the same thing, rather than one post with 10 people saying, “Yes, me too – this is an issue”.

In this later scario, it is also easier for others who are looking for a conversation around a problem to follow one thread on one issue rather than to have to jump around to multiple threads about the same topic to see if anyone submitted a useful comment.

    Thanks,

    David

These forums have rules. Please read them.

As you will see, one of these rules – entitled Where toPost – specifically states:

Unless you are using the same version of WordPress on the same physical server hosted by the same hosts with the same plugins, theme & configurations as the original poster, do not post in someone else’s thread. Start your own topic.

Please abide by this and do not argue when someone is asked to post their own topic.
