• I updated to the latest version of WordPress from an older version, and was very surprised by how different the Visual Editor writing box is in 4.0.1 from what I’m used to.

My main problem is that the font in the new visual editor writing box is way, way too small–I can barely see it, and it’s far smaller than the size of the font on my actual blog. I can use Control++, but that makes all of the fonts of the surrounding areas of the dashboard GIGANTIC.

The writing box used to conform to the width of my blog and have a large amount of white space to the right of the text, but now it goes all the way across and it’s extremely difficult to write.

Does anyone know why this is happening and if there’s any way to fix it?

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fourteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
